Experts’ free advice for businesses on accessing growth finance

A free workshop event for businesses looking to access funding to grow will be held by the D2N2 Growth Hub and EMB Group, and be supported by Venturefest East Midlands.

The ‘Access to Finance For Growth’ event will be held from 9am to 2pm on Thursday January 26 at the Riverside Centre, Riverside Court, Derby (DE24 8HY). It is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), sole traders and business owners in the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership area of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who are looking to expand and go after new markets. To book to attend go to the D2N2 Growth Hub Events page HERE.

The free workshop will cover the different funding streams and grants available by which businesses can finance their growth, how to find that help and will look at other assistance to expand which might be available.

Registration on the day of the event will be from 9am, with the event beginning at 9.30am. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a networking lunch at 1pm.

The D2N2 Growth Hub (part of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership), which supports start-ups and SMEs’ ambitions to grow, and marketing and business improvement consultancy EMB Ltd of Leicester are hosting the workshop. The event’s networking lunch is being sponsored by Venturefest East Midlands; an annual free to attend business event which aims to generate innovation and growth, being held this year at Derby Arena on Wednesday March 22. • Lesley Coombes, Business Manager and Management Consultant
  • Margaret Storey, freelance Learning and Development Consultant.

The workshop is funded via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Businesses booking to attend will have to evidence that they are an SME, by filling out a form when registering.
